Saturday, Feb. 20th
I meant to have sent you this
card from Ceylon. I am
collecting quite a lot of
cards to bring home for the
album. We are now on the
Planeiu(?), a very luxurios
Dutch boat, on out way to
Java. We pass lots of Islands
& called at one this morning
In the night alone 2 am
we crossed the Equator.
It is very hot & one has not
much energy to do much
except sleep. Mr Cubitt made me
a lovely little tin box with a wire
netting top. Inside is an asbestos mat.
I put it in my cello case + it soaks up
moisture.
